bad ecu?
I'm having a problem with my 2004 Metropolitan I hope someone with a good knowledge of electrics can help me with. Last summer the headlight, both high and low beams went out. I checked the bulb and it was good but no power to the blub. Everything else worked. The scooter started and ran fine. I did a little investigating and found that the headlight is tied into the ECU. A week ago I started it and everything was still okay except for the headlight I shut it off and when I tried to start it again, it would not start. Everything else still worked fin and the scooter still cranked but would not fire. Could this also be an ECU problem? I called a couple local shops . One said if the ECU was bad the scooter wouldn't crank and nothing electrical would function. The other said that the ECU could be bad and prevent starting but still allow the other electrics to work normally. I'm trying to save the cost of a shop visit so if anyone has any insights into this I would appreciate it. Thanks
