JDM F23 engines have crank position sensors?

Can someone confirm if JDM F23 engines have Crank position sensors on the bottom end?
i am finding conflicting info online. Some sources say you need to rewire the sensor to the dizzy others say the sensor is present near the oil pump just like USDM engines.

I might need more clarification here, but I'll tell you what I recently did, and maybe it answers your question.
I swapped in a JDM F23 to my accord which had a US F23. Now, when I got the engine, it was fully covered with all the JDM-specific items, such alternator, sensors, fuel injectors, etc. When I swapped it in, I took all of that stuff off, including the JDM wiring harness and injectors, and swapped it into the car, reattaching all the US sensors, cables, intake, exhaust manifold, injectors, wiring and alternator. Once I did that, I was able to start it right up with no errors. I did not rewire any sensors to make the JDM engine work, it just did.
So, my question is, do you have all your US parts, or are you trying to use JDM sensors and things? If so, my recommendation is to use a US harness and other items as it's a pain to work through the JDM. My alternator, for example, from the JDM looked like my alternator, but was rotated 90 degrees differently, so belts and other things would require modification to make work. Many sensors looked similar but were not the same.

This depends on what car you're swapping into. For example I put a used JDM F23 into my 1995 accord wagon EX. All I did was remove the crank sensor when I did the timing belt. I reused my distributor and intake manifold because I did not want to play with messing with the IAC, or rewiring the distributor to use the crank sensor. Everything fit together nicely. And surprisingly enough I managed to get the distributor in the right place without adjusting it so that it actually ran on the first start. (It probably has other issues, but Ive yet to find them) Now in later cars, the wiring for the crank sensor should already be there and FWIW you should be able to plug into the sensor.

And surprisingly enough I managed to get the distributor in the right place without adjusting it so that it actually ran on the first start. Shanco, I felt the important things was to swap over all your current sensors from the USDM vehicle. On the JDM engine, some sensors look the same, but do not behave the same, some sensors work but are rotated differently (so a sensor wire might not be long enough or suddenly bumps other things) and some sensors do not fit at all into the usdm wiring harness. My intake AND exhaust manifold were different (both in shape and missing O2 sensor plug). I would also take a close look at the fuel injectors and fuel rail, because I found they were different from my originals, so I also swapped those in since they were fine. They might have worked, but I wasn't taking any chances, since I had both engines on the ground and it was fairly simple to walk all around the engine swapping pieces. If you have a JDM transmission, I would also swap over all the US shifter solenoids and swap sensors (I found mine were different in a few cases). Basically the core engine is good, but everything attached I would try to use a US component for less hassle later. The only thing I used from the JDM was the knock sensor because I broke mine when I removed it.

One last piece : The distributors were identical, so you don't have to pull them off the engines, just use the one that came with the JDM engine or whichever is newer.
