The time has come to sell my 1994 Civic DX Hatchback. Car was super reliable and fuel efficient for the approx 10 years I drove her as a daily. When I finally blew the head gasket at approx 291,xxx miles I bought a new daily. I fixed the head gasket and auto crossed the car for one season. I had the head reworked by a machine shop where it was surfaced and had exhaust guides replaced. Also installed new clutch. Car runs great. Car is almost completely stock. Only differences are the CAT has been punched out (was done troubleshooting a computer issue at one point), adding a front sway bar (Lower control arms and sway bar came off a 94' civic coupe), a gauge cluster that has the tach (original speedo started bouncing. I moved the odometer from the old cluster to the new one so the mileage is accurate), and the rear lower control arms were replaced due to worn out bushings with interga control arms (have sway bar mounts, never added rear sway bar). Bad, passenger door got backed into. It broke the window but did not hit any other panels. I replaced the window and the door opens and closes fine. Window rolls up and down fine as well. Would just need a door skin. The windshield got cracked in the accident when my dog jumped and hit her head . She was okay though. There is a small dent in the front of the hood that was there when I bought. Someone had tried to repaint it but did a poor job. Also, I put all new gaskets on the motor when I replaced the head gasket but the oil pan gasket it leaking just a little (I get a few drops on the shop floor). Current mileage is 292,476. Comes with set of stock steal wheels, tires, and hub caps as well as set of auto cross wheels and tires.
Body looks pretty clean underneath and in the usual rust spits, but ouch that paint and interior. I'd be down, even with the miles, but that paint... GLWS. Hopefully you find someone that appreciates a diamond in the rough.
It needs a little love on the exterior but it’s a pretty clean body and it is 26 years old. It’s a small car, it wouldn’t cost much to paint it. Also, the car hasn’t been cut by some kid that thought he knew what he was doing. Price is negotiable.
