I'm working with a 96 civic dx not vtec an have been getting the high voltage code for the ELD along with the 02 codes an p0141 also but not in pic. .
I had tried replacing the ELD ,an harness, also had replaced a bad alternator,an battery w good ground an cables an just at restart they all came back on.Im going to be replacing the distributor for cps error soon also it has hitatch in it an not TCL ,friends car/ mistake.
Does a faulty 02 cause this ELD to come up [ ELD code shows up on computer tester even before starting car ] an what all else should I look at.Are they on the same circuit an 1 trips the other ofren 02/eld.
I'm sure the distributer factors it possibly too I'm getting a new one soon though with the 02 sensor.
.
Also..When I start car with new alternator I dont see a fluctuation on battery voltage till I put a load on it.Shouldnt it be ready the 14 volts as it's at regular idle? Not just after a load?
any info is appreciated.
Fuse isnt blown..it did one time in the past but not now..
I notice code hits at 1st turn of key to accessory ,not even start, after resetting pcm..maybe a ground?
I'll double check connector to eld but I secured a new harness to it also with replacement ELD.
Can the bad 02 or a short in 02 wire set this off?
What miller light is trying to say is you might be having issues with the engine harness. There's also a recall out for this issue. Google is your friend.
Thanks I'll check it.is it the one behind oil filter or the green one at alternator? .I know the 02 wire looks a bit nicked an am going to replace it..not sure if that can be causing it too..I will look.
Do you have the wiring diagram on the eld/pcm/02 .
