Default 96 Civic-ls/vtec - code 7,8

Back when my car started having problems I changed out the map sensor, plugs, distributor, and the close code came on and I fixed that and now it's throwing a code 7,8 at me now. Tdc and tps. What would cause this? First code 4 and now code 7,8 and since the ckp it's been in limp mode and hasn't been driven.

Car information is required for all tech threads.

After you post that, ohm test the distributor sensor circuits from the ECU connector.

b18 board? what ecu code is on the metal casing?

Did you check to see if your tps is properly adjusted?

Does this car have a hackjob engine harness?

Yes it's a ls/vtech. 2.0l instead of a 1.8.
The ecu is a hondata. P28
The harness is done right. My buddy who was a tech for many years did that.
