hi all,
on my 2009 ruckus 50 my electric start will not activate. no response, not that click that sometimes has happened, just completely dead. the battery is fully charged when i hold the brake to attempt the electric start the brake lights or turn signals do not work, it will kick start, i have taken apart the starter mechanism to clean and all seems fine, the kill switch does work so i think the plug and play wires are fine ??? ... i replaced all the fuses, wondering about the blue starter relay ??? tried to jump the starter relay with a screwdriver to the hot on the battery and it spaked but would not activate the starter ...

ok all that said ! any ideas ?

 

did you ever figure out the starting problem. I recently purchased a 2009 metro and an experiencing the same issue.

turns out it was the battery, it had enough to light the lights but not enough to trigger the electric start
