A/C not working
I had a short at my radiator fan. Fuse failed to blow causing all the wires in the wiring harness to melt and short out. The damaged section was approximately 12 inches. I repaired all the shorted sections of wired and spliced them back with fresh wires according their matching colors. Now everything is working except the air conditioner.
1. I have checked all the fuses and relays.
2. When I manually jump the relay with a jumper the A/C clutch engages and the Air conditioner gets cold. So I am suspecting that the clutch relay is failing to receive the signal from the ECM.
3. I already jumped the A/C pressure switch but no success.
4. I checked continuity in the thermal protector and it has continuity. It also registers .1v when tested with an multimeter.
5. The trigger side of the clutch relay is showing 12v on one side but no ground on the opposite side.
I feel like I am so close but running out of ideas. What should I try next?
