Default 1992 Accord coupe camber off

I just replaced my hub assembly, rotors, lower ball joints and outer tie rods on my 92 Accord. Car has 162k. After completing install I noticed the top parts of the wheels are sitting more inward than bottom part of the wheels. So my camber is off now. The camber was fine prior to new part installation.

I haven't replaced upper ball joints yet but will be doing so soon. I know I need an alignment. I'll get one done after upper control arms/ball joints are replaced.

Will the camber correct any after new control arms are installed?

how is the camber adjusted on this model? Thanks in advance!!

Unless you are really lucky, everything will be off, probably really off until you have the alignment done. taking off the tie rods, for example, has already thrown off your alignment. everything will need to be re-aligned. Toe, camber, etc. Even if you were in perfect alignment before, puttin in the new parts throws things off since the bushing and such are new, so I wouldn't worry about it unless you are driving it. In which case, I would get the alignment done sooner than later, and a second check if the controls arms and ball joints make a difference.

For comparison, I simply replaced only the upper control arms at one point, and it was out of alignment when I took it in, as the old ones must have been pretty beat when it was previously aligned.

Thanks for the reply 99.

I have the upper control arms and ball joints ordered and will put those in soon. Hopefully it will adjust the camber some.

I have read that some cars cannot have the camber adjusted and I am hoping that a 1992 Honda accord is not one of those and can have the camber adjusted. Is it possible to adjust the camber on a Accord and how is it done? Thank you!

Unless you've had the car on an alignment rack you can't say for sure the camber is off. Typically on factory suspension, the camber is not adjustable. There are ways around this for outliers like adjustable ball joints.

A more pressing concern is the toe. Toe angle, if incorrectly set, is a tire killer and will eat through tires extremely quickly. If you did not reference the position of the old outer tie rods before removing them and reinstalling the new set then your toe is probably completely off and you will need an alignment immediately to rectify it.

Aradin
I assumed my camber is off because the top of the wheel sits in the wheel well farmore than the bottom of the wheel. 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock positions. It's very noticeable compared to before the new parts were swapped.

So so you are saying the toe might be causing this? I thought toe was 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions. Thanks.

I'm saying regardless if your camber is off or not, you won't know unless for sure or how bad until you get it on an alignment rack. I can pretty much guarantee your toe is out of spec and you will need an alignment on that basis alone.
