Default Troubleshooting: 1993 DA fuse panel #50 no start issue.

Hey guys,

Car is a 1993 integra DA. I just replaced the battery terminal to a gold one for looks and it was fine. A few days later, dash lit up, no crank as if the battery wasn't making a connection. Went to tighten the terminal and wrench touched frame and positive terminal and sparked. Unable to get power after this. I was under the assumption i blew the 80A fuse in the underwood fuse box but it was not broken. Fuse has continuity.

Now the part which throws me off is measuring battery voltage gives me 12ish volts.
The wire going from + battery to starter-12V, check
Wire from + battery to alternator-12V check
Wire from + battery to fuse box - 1.5V ?????

When i disconnect the wire from the fuse box it reads 12 V so i know the wire isn't broken. When i screw it into the fuse box it drops down to 1.5V. I did not have another 80A fuse laying around so i threw a 50A in there to see, and same issue. Also now when the hazard switch is pressed In, it gives off a loud buzzing sound with the key out???

What could be causing this issue, I am at a loss and not very good with electrical. Thanks

Check fuse #32: 50a fuse in the underhood fuse box.

THank you, it turned out to be the ground from the (-) battery to frame was bad. Fixed

That was my next recommendation.

The fact that you had 1.5v with the wire connected and 12v disconnected shows you had a voltage drop.

A blown fuse, bad ground or high resistance in the cable were pretty much the only options.
