Default EG Stolen/Recovered wiring help.

Hey everyone, my EG was stolen and recovered. They busted the ignition up completely.

And they had this contraption "wired" into a plug (that I am trying to identify) and hooked up into the underdash fuse box with the spade connector.....

So my big question is, what is that plug that has been hacked into?? And where/how is it SUPPOSED to be plugged in? The wires running into the plug are red with silver dots, red with black stripe and silver dots and black with silver dots.

Also my new ignition harness doesnt have the diagnostic port hooked into it like how my previous one was. Not sure why or what to do with that. Can some one guide me in the right direction with this as well? This is how the old one is hooked to the port....

Looks to not be a factory thing to me but I might be wrong. The new one doesn't have it though.

Also of course at some point in this hack job they popped the under hood ignition fuse and rather than replace it they broke open the plastic top and shoved what looked like a gum wrapper in there maybe tin foil!! Thought that was a crazy/funny fact to add in here.

Thanks in advance everyone.

Last picture is not factory, and I think that is the cut in normally done for an aftermarket security system relay. this would also why it isn't present on the new one.

I just looked at it a second time and I haven't messed with Hondas in awhile I forgot that this car doesn't even come with a port to plug in since its a 92! So wtf is this thing that that is wired into?!

All the other wires from that port were grounded to the column together.....

After tracing the wires from the plug that was hacked into I've discovered that it is the dimmer switch plug. Not sure wtf they did it for. But clearly I don't get how to make stolen cars run!

The part you are chasing sounds like they did some lighting thing, spade in the fuse box usually goes to one of the accessory open spots. Only hot with Key in the on position.

I'm not up to it tonight but I can take some pics tomorrow of what a stockish look is of the under dash wires. I think my alarm install I did on mine looks stock under there the way I did it, pretty sure it is but will be able to confirm tomorrow when I'm not so sore.

Hard couple days of work. Not up for crawling under my dash at the moment. But will help you out.

How did you recover your car? How long did the thieves have it?

Glad you got it dialed, the other things aren't stock so can be removed or ignored. Just make sure they aren't hooked up and it is fine. And of course any breaks in stock wiring any of that caused, restore to stock.

Nothing makes me cringe worse than stolen crap and hacked up wiring on a car...

Glad you recovered your EG!

This post is bizarre. Like, I'm supposed to believe the thieves jumpered the dimmer switch using proper heat shrink around the terminals used? How thorough! But they left the ignition smashed and dangling?

I suspect previous owner did some old wiring modes and OP never had a reason to investigate the wiring until after it was stolen. Finds the work of the thieves as well as older previous mods.
