Default Crooked Steering Assembly

I have a 99 Civic and I was wondering what possible solutions I have for this. I’ve seen people say it’s a matter of loosening a couple of bolts and straightening everything out or just replace the whole column. Thanks in advance.

Default Re: Crooked Steering Assembly

Was the car stolen or attempted to be stolen at some point? That damage is pretty common when a thief pries the lock assembly off of the column to break the ignition switch loose and free up the wheel. Bad news, if the steering still turns freely and it’s that crooked then it’s probably the dash hoop not the column. Less bad news, it may be some bending in the column and some in the mounts.

Step one would be to try and loosen and realign, step two replace column, step three figure out what else is bent.
