Engine cranks but does not turn on.
I just swapped a d17a2 motor and manual trans for my old d17a1 and auto trans. Replaced almost every bit in the engine bay. I go to start my car. It cranks, belts are turning nice, after 3 seconds the oil dash light turns off. sounds good, but no start. I have brand new spark plugs and no relative codes so I'm confused as to why it won't start. I have a p1259 code but that's a vtec malfunction and the forums say it doesn't have anything to do with start up. Any help is appreciated. Also, is it possible that the problem is with my ecu? Like its not tuned to the engine?
Year ? Make ? Model ? You need to check for proper fuel pressure , spark and injector pulse . Things unrelated to what you're doing can go bad by pure coincidence .
I did a similar swap an 05 manual lx with d17a1 swapped in a 02 ex manual d17a2 engine, harness, and ecu. Cranks all day, gets fuel to the rail no injector pulse, and no spark. I'm thinking it's the ecu needing to be flashed... any help would be great.
Is your green key light coming on when your turn the key to II ?
or does it continue to flash? Both would be immobilizer issues, im having a problem with mine now, no green light, and a flashing light seems to be the easier of the two to diagnose and fix

No injector pulse and no spark points to the crank sensor , the one I bought at anap lasted about 6 months , the car sat in the back yard , get one from the dealer .
