i went to Walmart to buy a battery for my 1.5 del sol and all they had was an Everstart $120.00 pos. so i want back to ebay and nothing there. which cheap battery do y'all recommend?

dont cheap on a battery. you want it to start reliably? run a stereo? just get a decent battery and be done with it. you need power youll regret not getting a decent one.

 

Personally I like Costco here in Canada. 8 year pro rated warranty and it was under 90 bucks Canadian. Everyone else is over 100 and at most 5 year pro rated.

 

i'll check out costco. i found Pepboys has a cheap battery but it's a long drive. i'm not paying $225.00 for a GD battery! this insane inflation is caused by the scum at The Federal Reserv and congress who've racked-up 25 TRILLION dollars in debt. scum scum scum.

 

not sure about availability in your area but i have a few Interstate battery stores and a distribution warehouse nearby me that offer reconditioned batteries with a shorter warranty than new (3 or 5 vs. 7 i think). I have put four or five in various vehicles throughout the years and have yet to be disappointed with the quality.

I sell econocraft 51r batteries for 79.99 at autozone. 90 day warranty but I have seen them last 2 or 3 years

 

I stopped shopping at, Autozone because the SCUM stole my money. they issued a card for a return but then just canceled the cards. POOF! gone. i went to buy something and the salesman told me "we aren't doing that anymore..." . i was indignant and he said that he understood my anger. what scum their management must be.

 

District managers personal cell phone number is on the front window next to the store hours sign. Make a stink and they will give you pretty much anything you ask for

 

well, wiping-out the money on our cards was nationwide. then there's no way to tell how much was on the card and i totally forgot. i'd have to sue them. i did however make an online report about it.

 

I run a wall mart battery it works fine for my civic and my Integra! has a 2 year warranty I replace mine before the warranty ends lol

I got my last battery at CostCo, I think I got a 40 month warranty?
Interstate battery, but if I buy Interstate at my local garage, I think I get 36 month.
Nothing like 96 months though!!!

 

That's what I said, I had just dropped 250 bucks on an Interstate to get a 4 year pro rate warranty on my Neon and then sold the car, got a civic, battery was weak and happened to be at Costco, advertised as 8 year pro rated warranty and the battery was 89 bucks. Kirkland.

I was amazed. Makes up for all the other things we get shafted with that the US gets handed to them I guess. ;P

No clue. I wouldn't even know where to begin researching to find out.

 

To get side tracked, the price of batteries is so high I dont understand why they just don't offer a longer prorate on the warranty. If you sold a 36 month free replacement with a 36month prorate, you pretty much guarantee the customer comes back for another battery. Most consumers dont even keep a car for six years, so you know they would come back for their next car

 

I pay $40 for used batteries from wherever locally. Never had a problem. If it doesn't last 30 days I can return it but haven't had to yet.
