1996 accord LX immobilizer issue. How do I remove the system?
My chip broke off inside the unit. It has worked fine, with a wiggle every now and then, until today. My car will not start. I need to remove the device. I can't find anything about the system, only the alarm... Which I don't have.

Re: 1996 accord LX immobilizer issue. How do I remove the system?
Generally, installation of the starter interrupt require the cutting of the wire going to the starter.
For a 1996 Accord, they probably cut somewhere along the Blk/Wht wire that runs from the ignition switch to the under-dash fuse box. Follow the wires from the interrupt to find where they cut the Blk/Wht wire. (The Blk/Wht wire is a black colored wire with a white stripe running through it.) The Blk/Wht wire starts at the 7-P connector plugged into the ignition switch, and runs along the wire harness to the 7-P brown connector (C906) at the under-dash fuse box. You'll want to reconnect or splice the Blk/White wire back together wherever it was cut.

Tech8; is this a certain fact? I really have to know for sure.
My '96 Accord has a factory installed Honda Anti-theft system P/N 08E51-SV4-100-F
Something is causing the car to not turn over at times so I need to rule this out.
The car starts right up most of the time. Yesterday, all I got were dash lights, no crank. I proceeding to hold down the 'disarm/valet switch", located under the dash, for 5 seconds and then the car started right up.
Another time, when it would not turn over, I pressed on the buttons on this transmitter fob and the car started.
If my security system is NOT tied in to the ignition system then all this button pushing activity I did was coincidence?

Can you help me out over here please? Thank you
1996 North American Accords do not have the Honda Immobilizer System. To not confuse people researching in the future and to separate the issues, please make a new separate thread for your issue. Generally, to continue with a new issue is considered thread jacking.
