What's up Honda heads... I currently own two Honda's : 2002 (Acura RSX Type S) Honda Integra DC5 and 1994 Honda Accord LX 5spd. Both are my daily drivers however the DC5-S is crossing the DD line towards a road course ready/ street weekend warrior. The Honda Accord is getting tuned up and needs a complete paint update:
--- new spark plugs
--- new valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, spark plug seal gaskets
--- new oem fuel filter
--- new/used power steering pump
--- new main belt, new accessories belt
--- new Hardrace outer tie rods
--- new PCV gasket/seal
--- custom ground wire system
For the Accord I have been tossing around the idea of replacing the F22B non-vtec (183,000 miles) with an H series longblock and a B series tranny. I am not interested in sinking much money into the car. The Accord just may have to make due while I aim to finish the other half of the DC5 build. However, if an opportunity presents itself allowing me to swap the engine or assemble a G23 type build for a small cost I may do it. OR a swapping a jdm K24 RBB longblock with a ep3 5spd lsd budget build would be the best solution for a DD budget set up.
My DC5-S is a whole other story. It is turning into a fun little car which is getting ready to explode into the next level. I have been collecting some quality parts with the intention of "so called" completing it all or as much as possible at the same time to save money on tuning, alinements, and preventing doing things twice over. In the meantime I keep collecting parts and stay patient to avoid wasting money. On this build unlike like previous builds, I am maintaining my budget which has allowed the best possible ideas to surface. Just like the way I hoped things would turn out, if I rushed things I would have never figured out a way or ways to create this build to stand out and be unique. It is cool to know what I have designed just may draw some attention of the good kind. I am putting together a build thread and look forward to sharing my DC5 build with you guys and gals.
