I know this thread was posted a few years back, but had no solution. I have a kenwood radio in my Sol, was driving and one day it just shut off, all fuses have been checked, none blown, rechecked my wrong and still won't turn on, I have also checked the radio fuse as well , any solutions? Thanks for the help in advance.

 

Ummmm... the RADIO is broken.

 

I have two different radios and both were in working order last time they were used

 

Break out multimeter and check to make sure voltage is coming in. perhaps a wire has shorted or broken in the harness.

 

Check the ground

 

where can I locate this ground just look up a diagram right ?

ground on all aftermarket radio/headunit is BLACK

 

The ground you’re looking for is G501

It’s located driver under dash r/s of steering column. M circled it in red . Should be the only black wire that’s tabbed into body. This diagram is off a 95 civic, but should be the same on a Del Sol . Let me know what you find
