Default ITR intake mani on b16

I have a 00 Si head on my b16. I was wondering if getting an ITR intake mani instead of the 00 Si one I have on it now will make a difference? Any help will be great.

It makes noticably more power than stock, but the JGEdlebrock manifold is even better for about the same money

I can get an ITR for around $200, so I thinks its quite abit cheaper than a JG

Reaping the maximum benefits from an ITR or SKUNK2 intake manifold requires you port match your cylinder head to intake manifold. You will see results at high RPM's, otherwise don't bother installing one.

Do you have anything done to your B16???

It makes noticably more power than stock , but the JGEdlebrock manifold is even better for about the same money
You are saying that an ITR manifold on a B16 is going to make noticably more power??? Dyno plot please!! Maybe with some cams and pistons, but not a whole hell of a lot with a stock motor

You will see results only if at the minimum you have a ported and polished head. Remember that the ITR and skunk2 manifold have longer runners, this is meant for high RPM advantages. If you are not generating enough high RPM power then its not worth your time installing ITR manifold.

Ported and polished head should also mean an accompanying power head setup such as higher lift cams, cam gears, valve job.

i dont know if any of you guys saw this but in an old issue of HCI (hot compacts and imports, im not sure their still around) theydid a test on a B16 about the TYPE R intake man. and found thatthe B16 manifold was a lot more effective because the Type R didnt make any more power until like 200 RPM before redline. I cant find the issue that i saw it in but i believe they had the B16 man. hone matched or something like that. Im not sure how much thatwould cost though, would it be cheaper?

Actually, longer runners are better for low RPM power.

I do have to admit that even if it doesn't make any power over stock the ITR still looks better.. To me the 99-2000 Si looks the best for the B16's but i still don't like them.... the SK2 looks like it is made really cheap.... First of all i would just get a CTR intake cam you'll be able to get power out of that easier than a manifold... Peace
