Just got a momo monte carlo 350mm wheel and NRG 2.5 quick release

having issues putting them together

the silver ring from the momo that holds the horn button doesnt fit inside the NRG quick release

should this work ? or am I doing something wrong ?




anybody else run into this ?

 

So being the impatient person I am, I was lucky enough to find a machine shop not too far from my house and I had a relief \ bevel machined into the hub

now it all fits perfect

hopefully I was not just being retarded and doing it wrong
