opinions needed. Gsr build vs ls with gsr internals. Which to go with?
Hi I have a complete gsr bottom end and a ls block and I was woundering if there an advantage of building a ls with gsr internals or just building the gsr. I will be building it with eagle rods and nippin jdm p73 pistons. Any help would be appreciated on wich route to take.
Why not use the LS Internals in the GS-R? I did that 10 years ago with wonderful success. Got great torque, no VTEC "Conversion" nonsense, and everything integrates well.
I haven't driven the car in almost 2 years due to work, but here's the information if you're interested at.
Project EM1 - The Shodan goes NA..

I dont have a ls crank and rods just a ls block and gsr internals. To put the gsr internals in a b18b does anything have to be modified (ie notching or anything)or is it just like building a b18b just with gsr internals
Yeah I did with jdm itr pistons it's around 12.5:1 compression. Is there anyone out there that has personally put gsr internals in a ls block
GSR internals can be installed into an LS engine block without any major modifications. No block notching or clearancing.

Cool thanks. Also when wheni use the compressor calculator the ls compression is .7 pts hier them the gsr block. Is that correct and why is that. It dosent matter to me but just woundering. Because I'm use nippin jdm itr piston with in the ls it's around 12.5:1 and the gsr its 11.7:1. Also has anyone ever used nippon piston the say they have deeper valve pockets then standard oem pistons so you can run big cams. Is this true
