I recently bought a 96 prelude s with the factory f22a1 with 220k on it. I've been looking through threads trying to find information on this specific swap, but most of the time the f22b the poster was referencing was the dohc non-vtec (aka the jdm h23a1), or they had a '92 si or another platform that comes factory with the h23a1 (dohc non vtec). What I'm wondering is just how plug and play my swap would be? I have a jdm f22b sohc vtec motor on the way from NY, out of an accord, as well as a BA8 P39 ecu. Can someone confirm that i got the correct ecu for my motor? Or did i buy one for a dohc n-VT? will I have to do any re-wiring? Again couldn't find this specific swap, but speaking without complete knowledge it seems like one of the simpler swaps to do, and as long as I got the p39 (rather than i think p14?) I wouldn't have to install a knock sensor. I think looking at all these different threads has me crossing information from swaps that aren't the same as mine, but any information will help! Thank y'all very much Anyone know anything about lude suspension? I was told it's on all stock suspension (no reason not to believe him, car is almost entirely bone stock) it rides nice but sits like an 85 300zx. Front end is so much lower than the rear it kind of looks like cut coils, but the rear also appears to have ridiculous wheel gap. Also going over small things i hear kind of a clang in the rear left wheel well. Had the car 3 days so I'm in the troubleshooting mood.
How so? can you be more specific? Also realized I got the dohc ecu and bought the correct one (POA). Also it's of course off a sketchy jdm engine site so it could be accord or an odyssey if that makes a difference? Any information is helpful, and as long there isn't fabrication (or too much) I'm gonna get it done. (edit: I could see how swapping an obd2 engine / ecu into an obd1 prelude wouldnt work, but mine is a '96, and i think m,y only problem is that i would have to wire/pin in vtec)

accord and prelude electrics wont mix + jdm and usdm electrics wont mix
not sure about engine mounts and axels/driveshafts....exhaust needs custom work...
there is no much information about f22b sohc vtec swaps since theres no point of doing such swap for prelude
found something similar https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-...stuck-3214148/ although he went from b family to another b family, could this be why his essential electronics worked?
(edit: realized his profile picture wasnt a prelude lmao. sooo, usdm accord harness seems to work for him, with some parts of the harness being out of place, but there.)

would i need to buy a jdm accord chassis harness and probably have to extend things? I figured keeping it sohc would require less parts and vtec would make the car more fun would i need to buy a jdm accord chassis harness and probably have to extend things? I figured keeping it sohc would require less parts and vtec would make the car more fun people swap the f22a1 from last gen accord for f22b1s and it seems like their issue (other than being obd1) is wiring up vtec goodies, and o2 sensor plug of the harness being on the other side of the engine?
I've already contacted about cancelling as the motor has not yet been shipped, but if I can't I'd love to make it happen and make a honda forum helper post for anyone else that wants to gain 10 horsepower from an engine swap a decade from now.
(edit: realizing theres obd1 and 2 f22b1s, unsure which I got, but I bought an obd 1 manual ecu. Real sweaty game of kind of rolling the dice here xD)
