Re: Stud kits for intake manifold and turbo manifold to block?
No, I just use the OEM studs for both manifolds. I have switched to Stage8 locking hardware for manifold-to-turbo and turbo-to-downpipe because I always had bolts backing out before I changed over. I personally wouldn't use titanium hardware on the exhaust side. If you're having issues with your exhaust hardware and need to upgrade, inconel is what you need to look for. But stainless steel has always worked for me.
Re: Stud kits for intake manifold and turbo manifold to block?
Those aren't bad either. I used the ARP Exhaust manifold stud kit.
They were fantastic on my JDL Auto Design Exhaust manifold and held without any braces weighing in at over 22lbs. About $100 and from a quality company.
Re: Stud kits for intake manifold and turbo manifold to block?
I also went with ARP stainless studs and nuts, Although I purchased them individually instead of a kit. I ended up paying $120 for 19 studs (2" long, 1.75" long), 10 12point nuts and 10 chamfered washers. I'm using copper lock nuts for the exhaust though.
got mine from here https://www.allensfasteners.com/
Re: Stud kits for intake manifold and turbo manifold to block?
Just did a set of ARP studs while the exhaust was off of my daily, kit 400-8023, about $102. Replaced mainly because the old fasteners were bolts and it seemed like some of the threads in the head were starting to get a little tired. Never mad about spending a little extra for ARP stuff.
