Default P1399 code

So those of you that have experienced the p1399 code know that your/my car sounds like a Subaru, now I have checked my compression and my compression in cylinder one is 150 psi then cylinder number 2 is 160 PSI and then cylinder number 3 is 155 and then cylinder 4 is 150 psi I have changed the spark plugs, spark plug wires, the cap, the rotor, the ignition coil, the distributor o-ring, the VTech gaskets. I spent about $300 on trying to fix this flashing p1399 code can any one tell me what else to do other then the head gasket? And FYI I have a 99 Civic ex w/ a d15b vtec if that helps and still hits vtec too

Default Re: P1399 code

I also replaced the fuel injector for cylinder number 2 but it still sounds like it is not firing when I do the screw driver technique. So I'm thinking it's a open or short in the wiring harness. Thoughts? And it's only cylinder number 2 when I pull the spark plugs wire there is no change is Subaru sounds. And when I pulled the distributor apart to do the oil seal some if not all wires were showing some wire but why only cylinder number 2? Haven't changed the whole distributor btw and I did change the ignition module about 8 months ago too. Thoughts?

Swap the offending cylinders fuel injector with an adjacent fuel injector and re-test. If the problem persists in the same cylinder, then both fuel injectors are operating properly and you have a wiring or ECU injector driver problem. To check the wiring, first make sure there are 12v+ on the yellow/black wire and check continuity between the ECU and offending injector clip negative trigger wire. If the continuity is good... and no significant resistance... then the ECU is likely your issue. Test a known good ECU in place of the one you have now.
