Default Please Help

Ok so this is my first time coming to a forum for help I can usually diagnose these issues myself but this one has me stumped. Short story first. I was driving on my way back home from a road trip. Car was having problems overheating during this trip so I would drive for a little while stop let it cool down and continue in about an hour. (Made a 8 hr roadtrip into almost 15 hrs unfortunately.) well prior to stopping one time my car began to overheat and I just passed a rest area. I tried making it to the next exit which was only a mile down the road and upon getting on the exit ramp the car dies out on me. I know I had a compression issue after that so I had my brother come get me we rented a uhaul trailer and towed the car home. I got home pulled the head and went and had it milled. It was warped pretty good between cylinders 2&3. Thought ok maybe that was my problem and was hoping that it would be the easiest fix I could do. After reinstalling the head gasket and head and torque the head down to spec tried starting the car and it wouldn't start. So my next thing I decided to check was compression. Compression was a little low at 94 on cylinders 1,2,3 and at 102 on cylinder 4. So I decided to hone out the cylinders and replace the piston rings. Figuring out now that will fix it. Tried starting again and still wont start. I am getting spark, compression is at spec, fuel is good too. Timing is spot on according to spec by putting the engine at TDC and verifying marks on camshaft is where they are supposed to be as well as the crankshaft timing is on its arrow where its supposed to be at. Darn thing still wont start. I have checked all fuses and even pulled terminals off battery left them off overnight (even did an old mechanic trick that a friend told me by holding the 2 terminals together for 15 seconds to try and remove any residual power in the system). I have checked all relays as well with voltmeter. Everything seems fine to me. Only error code the Reader is spitting out at me is a P0113 which is the intake air circuit High but ive had this error code for a while I have been meaning to replace the sensor. This shouldn't cause I problem with no start. I have been bashing my head in for 2 weeks straight trying to figure this out. Does anyone got any ideas what I could possibly be looking at to try and get this thing started again. I need it for my work vehicle I am unfortunately one of those ones deemed a necessity during this darn pandemic and im about tired of walking to work lol. I will attach a video of what the car sounds like after all the fixes I can think of.

Cranking sounds healthy. At first, reading your story I thought fuel pump but if you say you have pressure, I dunno. At this point maybe take it to a Honda dealer, some of those guys are wizards.

After all that work, did you redo the compression test to confirm it finally has good compression?

what engine/transmission are we talking about here?

pressure? pump is running? spark plugs are wet after attempting to start?

it can cause a hard start, you've maybe just been lucky up until now. try to get this code taken care of before you spend more time bashing your head. check the wiring thoroughly before putting a new or known-good used sensor on

Yes I have rechecked compression. I gave up for about a week and decided to just recently go back to looking at it. Compression is still good..... Fuel Is coming through injectors....However I just pulled the plugs and no they aren't wet Plugs are firing though. So I am assuming its somewhere in the block portion for the fuel seeing as im getting fuel through the injectors. I have pulled the rail and had my brother turn it over sprayed myself in the face with it lol.

its a 1.7. Yes there's pressure in the line and the correct pressure as well.... Spark plugs are not wet though which is weird. I pulled the fuel rail and had my brother crank and was sprayed several times in the face

Very nice. For and engine to start you need 4 things in the correct amounts; air, fuel, compression and spark. If all are present, then the only thing left is timing. Turn the crankshaft to #1 tdc. Check that the camshaft is also at #1 tdc and make sure the timing belt has good tight tension. Pull the crankshaft and camshaft position sensors and test them on the bench.

If your spark plugs are not wet, then you do DO NOT have fuel. Fuel pressure in the rail means that the pump is working... it doesn't mean that it is getting into the engine. Your fuel injectors are either seized or clogged, you have an immobilizer issue, or your ECU is damaged.

well I know the injectors aren't clogged because I never removed them and that's what sprayed me in the face. So I will check into the other 2 issues. However I can probably rule out the immobilizer issue because the green key light on the dashboard goes off. And I hope it isn't an ECU issue because that would just be a pain the ****.

I have done all that already thank you for the advice though. It isn't even trying to start. Will just crank and crank and crank. Timing has been redone as well. And it is spot on as I said in the original post. However I have not pulled the sensors I will try that tomorrow. Could you tell me how to test them on the bench please

I think you just take a multi meter and set it to ohms and touch the pins. There are surely tutorials and videos online you can follow to test each sensor.

thanks for the input. I finally just decided to break down and stop beating my head against the wall. It went to a trustworthy mechanic I was hoping to save myself a couple hundred dollars for them to fix it but at this point I am at a loss. I have verified everything to the best of my abilities and everything seemed fine according to my research and everyones help here. I am going to laugh if it is something as simple as a wire having a slight splice in it that I couldn't see or something.

ok so update.....After taking it to the mechanic he performed a Compression test.....apparently I have only 60 PSI in cylinder 4, 30 PSI in cylinder 3, and so on and so forth....Now I need to figure out where im leaking compression at lol.....I have replaced the one cracked exhaust valve. I have done the piston rings and speced them....I have a new headgasket and had the head remilled. So I am at a total loss.....although I did notice something when I had him turn it over with the valve cover off.....One intake side only 4 out of the 8 valves actually moved like they were supposed to....the other 4 barely moved I wonder what could be causing this...Any ideas are helpful.
