Overheated and now no compression? no idea what is wrong
Ok let me explain this...I have a 95 Del Sol SI with a single cam d16ZC in it...no its not a z6....anyways...I did the motor swap with plans to boost it....about a week after i got it in i had to go about an hour away from my town to go to court...about 15 mins down the road it over heated....i pulled over...let it cool down and refilled the coolant...this happened about 3 times on the way down...the last time it happend i had about 15 mins to get to the place i was going so i didnt have time to pull over and if i did i would have gotten a warrent for my arrest for skipping court......so i drove there with ti over heating...when i got there i ran inside and got court taken care of...i came out and refilled with coolant...i noticed a loose coolant hose so i tightened it up....about 5 mins later it started to over heat again...i went a couple mroe miles and pulled over to wait for a tow truck to come get me to bring it home...after it completely cooled down it wouldnt start again....the starter just turned and that was it...didnt sound like it was trying to turn over....so i took the head off and looked to see if i have a cracked head....i cant see any cracks or scratches on the head gakset or the head/block....any ideas on what it would be or how i would go about fixing this? Thanks for the help

EDIT:
Blah, I just got up, it's too early, my response made no sense :-\.
Sounds like the headgasket, although you'd notice a dramatic drop in HP as well as a big white cloud following your car.
EDIT2:
So things to look for:
- Look for puddles forming under your car either at idle or at park (whenever it leaks) to try and pinpoint it.
- Change your thermostat.
Sorry I'm talking/typing ****, I just woke up and this day and me don't seem to be agreeing too well

Well you didnt run out of oil so the cylinder walls should be near perfect. How do your plugs look? My guess is that your head warped enough to prevent it from firing, possibly cracked too. Have it checked at a machine shop for cracks and warpage.

Re: (LowSlow93Sol)
the cylinder walls are fine...and the spark plugs look fine also...they only have about 300 miles on them...no oil on them or coolant...i am low on money right now so im not sure how much it would take for a machine shop to test the head....if it costs more to check the head for cracks and warpage im just going to buy a new head....its a SOHC ZC....so i will have a ahrd time finding a ZC head...so what i will do is just buy a z6 head...same thing just wanted to keep it all JDM lol....Keep me updated with ideas...thanks guys

Re: (JDM-SI Sol)
why was it overheating to begin with? I'm doubting it was only a loose hose if after you tightened it, it overheated again (unelss the lose hose caused a headgasket problem from the constant overheating). Can you verify that the radiator fan is turning on and everything? Just get the head milled to be safe, get a new gasket, and go from there.

Honda says, warping from .002" to .008", you need to mill. Any more than .008" and you replace the head.
You're not going to be able to eyeball .002".

Re: (MasterKwan)
i bought a new head...so what i will probably do is take it to a machine shop and have them mill it...that way i can put the original ZC head back on it and ill use the z6 head meanwhile...thanks a bunch for the info

check for cracks in your radiator. Check to see if the radiator fan turns on. Put your thermostat in boiling water and see if it opens. Simple stuff that you can try to make sure your cooling system is fine. I would also change the water pump just in case.
