Went through the net looking for current draw values to evaluate my fuel pump and could not find any real values so here is a post for anyone looking for them. I had a fuel pump that was old the issue was that my 99 civic ex had a misfire so I decided to evaluate my fuel pump. The used fuel pump was drawing an average of 3 and half amps on my current clamp but not very impressive revolution numbers on my pico but seemed weak( sorry should have calculated rpms of pump but lazy). So I installed a brand new Denso fuel pump and gave me an average of 4,5 to 5 amps current draw on the scope and much more rpms on (again laziness reigned supreme and did not calculate rpms) hope this helps.
My expectations were for the pump to draw above 6 amps since the vids that I had seen on a GM pump that was replaced was replaced cause the draw was around 5 and was considered inadequate and replaced and which corrected the issue the GM had. Oh well the civic is running fine.
