P28/s300v3Hey guys I need some help. I've been having some weird car trouble for about 2 years. I'm either buying bad ecus or my car is frying something in them but the electrical board looks good. I even sent ecu/s300 to hondata and the said was good. Ok it ran good after build but had hiccup/ buck at cruise sometimes. It progressively got worse. I narrowed to ecu so I sent back to hamotorsports for another. It was bad upon start up same thing erratic afr change and bucking. I ended up replacing all sensors and bought another ecu/s300. To my surprise it did the same thing. I went to my tuner and tried my ecu/s300 in his car with his base map ofcoarse. They both was bad ran 10afr. We then swapped my s300 in his ecu and vise versa. We found my 2 s300 are good and my 2 ecus are bad. I'm at a loss here. hamotorsports is a very reputable company I wouldn't think there sending out bad ecus. So could something in my wiring harness be corrupting ecu without blowing it? The circuit board looks good. No signs anything has blew and no smell. I've also checked my grounds and all sensor harness wiring. Help I'm going mad here

So I talked to someone at hamotorsports and I'm sending ecus back for repair. One of them he's trying to get replaced under warranty. There an awesome company hopefully they'll find issue and tell me what to look for.
HA Motorsports ecu's are junk. I've been saying this for years. I repair ecu's quite regularly, and more than half of the ones I repair were bought from HA. This includes ecu's people attempted to mod themselves having zero prior experience. In fact, I've never seen a single HA ecu last more than 3 years. HA seems to have decent customer service, and their ecu's are beautiful on the outside. But they are faaaarrrrrrr from being a reputable ecu company.
