Default F22B Identity?

Hello,my name is Abdiel Pedraza and I have a 97 LX 4 door sedan that has been swapped with a JDM F22B but am not sure what my check engine light is for? I went to autozone to get it scanned but their scanners didnt even find my problem, i have done the CEL code trick and my code is 6, I have changed my tps sensor and that didnt do the trick. my car originally idled kinda high at 1900 rpm and i talked to my dad and we got it down to 15-1600 but very loose, my dad told me it was the accelerator cable but I have no idea where i could get a scanner for my JDM engine that works. I have included a picture of my engine serial number. Please help!!

All JDM F22B variants are labeled F22B. If the cam cover has 'VTEC' then it is a F22B1. If it just has '16 valve' then it is a F22B2 variant. If the spark plug wires are down in a trough between two cams, then you have a DOHC F22B. Would be easier if you posted a pic of the cylinder head/valve cover.
Transmission is JDM Prelude H22 trans, good trans for acceleration. Might be a bit buzzy at higher speeds.
Unless you swapped out the harness and ECM the scanner should work fine.
Replacing an engine with a JDM engine does not require changing of the ECM, just a few sensors from the original engine to the JDM engine.

Code 6 is for the thermistor or ECT sensor.
It is located under the distributor. Green plug.
Verify the connector is not damaged.
Using a voltmeter verify the thermistor is 200-400Ω resistance.

I have included some pictures of my valve cover and my green plug, the green plug has some grease on it no damage, and i unplugged it and plug it back in and nothing happened. Im not sure if i had to unplug it then disconnect the battery for a few seconds then connect it and then plug it back in.

That's an F22B DOHC. ~160hp engine. Very similar to the USDM H23A1 that came in 4g Preludes.

That plug/sensor is just a thermoswitch for the fans.

Yup that is an F22 DOHC 160HP unit. Nice engine. That green plug is on the water outlet, as mentioned it is for the fan controller.
You want the green plug that is attached to the head, it will most likely have another single wire plug near it.
That is your ECMs thermo sensor. Looks like there is one behind the distributor.
Get a meter on it and check its resistance and the condition of the wire.
