Alright guys, so what happens was that I was just driving around my neighborhood when my car decides to die on me.what first happened was the tachometer dropped to zero and I couldn’t accelerate. After this I pulled over and attempted to start the car but it just made a humming sound. I thought it was the starter and replaced that and it didn’t work my last option is the battery which is six years old but I am not sure what else to check for after that. Any options would help. Thank you

 

Could be wiring, the starter motor is spinning but it should also click the solenoid and pop out to interact with the flywheel. Try jumping power to the soleniod with a screwdriver. It could also be a blown fuse or relay because of your interior shutting off while driving.
