Got an 04 VP Coupe 5 Speed last week. First mod, of course, is a cat-back exhaust. I went with 2.5" from the oil pan back. Didn't want to sound super raspy so I went with a double muffler setup. Now it's nice and deep. Makes the engine sound larger than the 1.7L that it really is. Took some pictures a couple nights ago at the local gas station after I waxed 'er up. Low angle Dual muffler
Okay, today I got the old stock air box out and got the cold air intake in. I also moved the battery to the trunk using some 0 gauge amp wire. And I got the old planet fitness bumper sticker off and replaced it with some family pride. CAI Rear Mount Pride
Umm... you'll want to enclose that battery in a box, and ventilate it to atmosphere rather then your car's interior.
Thanks, i'll get right on fixing that.
I got a killer deal on this today; $13, Pepboys had it marked as $31 on the shelf so idk what happened but the guy at the register said it was all good, so I got it for a steal.
Tonight I found some new rims for my baby. Got a fire deal on them too. There's a reason they were cheap tho, they need some tlc. One has a completely bald tire and there are a lot of scrapes and scratches. I see some sandpaper work coming in my near future.
Boost parts are arriving. My waste gate and oil pan gasket arrived this morning. I also went to a U PULL IT and got a Y8 intake manifold today. Needs cleaned up and then a bunch of modifications with a dremel, but it shouldn't crack like the stock plastic ones are prone to do.
Got my AEM Wideband today along with a knockoff RS BOV. I also got a -6AN to M12x1.25 adapter for my fuel rail and made an aluminum block-off plate for the stock FPR hole. I'm converting to a return style fuel system.
Ok, 8-9 hour worth of wrenching and i've got the D16Y8 intake manifold and fuel rail installed along with a -6AN adjustable fuel pressure regulator and PCV catch can.
