I'm going to start my swap either later today or tomorrow and have some final questions about the wiring, I plan on using the method listed here (https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-...8557/#34826076) for the clutch interlock switch but I don't know if by using this method I have to do anything to the wires in the center console for the auto shifter. do I just unplug the shifter side? also what about using it in tandem with this reverse light method? Hey, I am looking this up for you ... probably a while until you get to the electrical, but just know I'm not going to leave you hanging. These are good questions.
Here's the link for another thread I started with alot of useful links, a rough estimate of total cost is around ~ $600, I got most parts from junkyards, my trans from facebook marketplace, mount & clutch kit from ebay.
If your gonna do this you can ask questions but I'm not that experienced or old so really my responses are just educated guesses
Why not just salvage the connector from the auto shifter and make a jumper harness with it?
Ignore the small light grey plug. The dark grey plug goes to and from the starter relay The green plug goes to the clutch switches. And the large light grey connector hooks up to the connector under the center console.
This should help. Here's what you need to remove for the AT-MT conversion to add the MT clutch relay. The circled area is what you need to swap. They plug in at the exact same place.
Note you *could* extend BLK/RED at C409:11 (this would be at the AT centre console plug) over to where the MT clutch relay mounts, and this means you wouldn't need to fart around with C302 and C440, which are a pain to get to.
