2006 Civic Transmission Issue
Hi all,
I am new to the forums so I apologize if this was covered in a previous thread. I have had my 06 civic for a number of years and drove it everyday without issues. Recently I bought a new civic and passed my 06 down to my son as his first car. Needless to say it sits in the driveway for a couple of weeks at a time before being driven again. Got in the car today to get him some wheel time and when he put the car in reverse, nothing happened. I got behind the wheel and after giving it a bit more gas it made a clunky noise and finally moved. After driving for a while and testing it in reverse it shifted into gear just fine. This is the second time it’s done this over the past couple months when it’s sat for a couple of weeks. Is this just “lot rot” or is something else more serious going on? Thanks for any help!
