Default cylinder head gouge at the combustion chamber edge

Will i need to take this to the machine shop to get it repaired or is the damage minimal enough where the headgasket will be able to seal it?

Thanks

Take it to a reputable shop to see if they can work with it. If not, chug it and get another.

That's pretty bad, have it shaved.

I have a gsr head has the same thing happen maybe a little worse than yours and had some knicks in the combustion chamber. But I took it to machine shop and they shaved the head and smoothed down the little knicks the best they could, and it’s running great right now. No leaks or anything.

yours should be fixable just have them shave it and be done. It’ll bump your compression up a tad bit too depending how much they shave.
