Icon4 Poor mans type-r sad dyno numbers at 155/120 Ideas?

So as stated I have a poor mans type-r build (I'll Post full specs) and I only made 155hp 120 torque on they dynojet dyno. I live at high elevation 5300ft so please take that into account! I know my tuner is solid so please don't say that is the issue. Here's what I may know to be the possible issues. I built the car with a light weight crank pulley and was having vibration in the pedal. changed out for fluidamper but not until about 1600 miles, feels better but still a touch vibrate-ey lol, not sure if something was damaged with original pulley. I also have stock b16 cams and unported pr3 head which i know is hurting my numbers. the only other shitty weak link on the car is the temp ebay exhaust... been waiting for almost 3 months for my tanabe ugh. Please help and thanks in advance for any thoughts or info!

Those are pretty solid numbers for that elevation and b16 cams. Get some type r cams and it should jump up to around 190 at the tire or tuner 2’s and I would suspect just at about 200whp.

Perfect thank you all so much! Now the question is which cams to use? I'm pretty confident im gonna go with skunk2 but what cam what series? I get so many different answers I'm not sure what to go with? Keep in mind my high altitude and its a daily driver because im sure that matters.

thanks just wanted a few more options as people seem to have a very wide opinion of good cams for this build ive heard everything from skunk2 tuner 2/3 and type-r or sk2 pro 1's (the furthest id go im sure for a dd but still think its a bit much)to skunk2 pro 2's which i though was way too much

Yeah that's true, CTR and ITR oem cams are hard to find. I guess it would be easier for him to obtain some Skunk2 pro 2's

I know a guy selling 98 ITR cams ($360) but I know they are a lil different than CTR/00+ ITR... not sure if i should snag them up or hold out for sk2's or ctr's

With your compression I think tuner2’s would work well and not be over cammed. I really like the tuner series cams over pro cams because for a daily your fuel economy as well as valve train wear will be much better with the mild low cam that the tuners have plus vtec feels pretty gnarly on them. If it was a 2.0l of 11.5 or greater comp tuner 3’s would work great but for your engine tuner 2’s should be a really good match and be a massive improvement over b16 cams and even itr cams.

Yes for some reason I thought I read he had a B16 Bottom or 1.6L, in this case I too recommend the Tuner 2 cams instead, I currently have them in my setup and really like them! Much less aggressive than the Pro 1 cams I had in previously and better idle. Depending on what style SK2 manifold you have If you do end up getting the Tuner 2 cams I recommend the Ultra street manifold and a 74mm TB.
