Default New starter- Civic still makes horrible grinding noise.

I've got a 91 EF that I just replaced the clutch on. I put everything back together and when I tried to start it, I hear this nasty grinding noise the entire time it's cranking over. I thought I'd damaged the starter reinstalling so I got a new one and installed it, but I've got the same issue.

I can't get a video attached but I'll email it out if you wanna listen.

I'm hearing it might be a misaligned starter to the flywheel, but there's two holes bolting it down so I'm confused on how that's possible. Anyways thanks for the help!

Check for damaged teeth on the flywheel.
