Axles for 300whp
Hi guys, any know if i need buy axles from 300~350whp on Civic Coupe 95 D16, and if it is necessary where i can find? I see the insane shafts but is from EK and EG.. I will use the car from daily drive, but i go to drag racing eventualy
And on my country K20 and B16 is very expensive, this is why i choose D16.
Ps: I don't buy the parts until now, because i'm trying to find the "best" car, but this is the most probably build..
Wiseco piston, Skunk2 connecting rods, crower stage 2 camshaft, intake Pro series Skunk2, Hondata s300 + traction control, Garrett GTX 2867R.

Stock axles can handle this power if you are preloading. I'm using AutoZone axles and make about 320 whp. Not sure if you have AutoZone in your country. You can also look at getting axles from Driveshaft Shop - the DSS 2.9 axles are rated for 475 whp.
What do you want to know about the Synchrotech master rebuild kits?

Personally, I would plan to replace at least the bearings and seals in the transmission since you will already have it open to put in the LSD. These transmissions are 20-30 years old, and if it has never been rebuilt, it's a good idea to refresh the bearings and seals. As far are replacing the synchros, that may only be necessary if the transmission has shifting issues. While you have the transmission apart, you can measure the synchro/gear gap and compare it to what the service limits are in the factory service manual. Also, visually inspect each synchro's teeth (and the gear's and sliders' synchro teeth) for wear and damage. If the gap is too small or if there is wear/damage to the synchro teeth, go ahead and replace the synchros. If any gear's synchro teeth are damaged, or if any of the slider's synchro teeth are damaged, replace those parts as well. The carbon synchros are supposed to have a better braking material than the brass synchros, allowing for faster gear changes.

Your other alternative is to have a custom set built by MTM - they are in Thailand. You can find their page on Facebook - "MTM Custom Gear Ratios"
MFactory makes a few - check out www.wd-r.com

No, I do not have any personal experience with any MTM products or with MFactory's gears. I do have an MFactory LSD and have not had any issues out of it for the last year since I installed it.
