Default D16y7 to D15B Swap non vtec, need ecu advice

98 Civic, Manual Transmission, with a blown motor D16y7 (non vtec), so I ordered a JDM that was sold as a d16y7, but what came in was a d15b, with a AT. My son was mostly done with the swap when he noticed the engines were different.
The cam position sensor and knock sensor were swapped to the 15, and everything is running with the old d16 ecu, but it's running quite rich and sluggish, but not throwing any codes.

The ecu that was attached to the engine really has me scratching my head, it's a 37820-p44-g71,made in the UK, which the only thing I found is a rover 600?

Which ECU do I need to actually get this running? Or a guide to chipping the current ecu? (I'm a electronics tech, so soldering and programming eproms are no big deal)

Thanks.

The D16Y7 engine does not have a knock sensor or a cam position sensor. Post pics.

Why don't you just return the D15B engine that you did not order?

You might need to do this simple trick! this is necessary when you swap in a JDM replacement in a USDM car with USDM ECU, If you don't the engine runs like crap like you are experiencing, I recently just did this swapping in a JDM D16A to replace my USDM D16Y7 in my 2000 civic.
