90 Hatch Battery Light and starting issue
Been happening ever since I got the car when I go to start the car, I sometimes I have turn they hey a few times until the starter actually kicks in, and the battery light is on. I am thinking bad ground on the starter maybe? Any advice or direction would be very appreciated. Thank you
make sure battery terminal clamps are tight.
grounds are not corroded.
clean the ignition key cylinder, blow some air and wd-40. deal with the smell for a bit.
try tapping on the starter while trying to turn the key to test if the starter is bad (need a friend to help).
listen for the fuel pump to prime when first turning the key, if nothing, then main relay may be bad.
