Default Uregent Help Please!

I have just completed a B16a2 swap into a 94 DX civic coupe, however the top cambelt side engine mount looks although it need to be moved back about half an inch as in it current possision it is causing a lot of vibration, getting worse as I lock the wheels to the left. Could this problem be caused by the fact I used my D series engine mount instead of the B series mount (on which the bush had gone, hence using my original mount)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Gavin.

Stock mounts are a lot weaker than what a DOHC VTEC Del Sol or a GSR would have... I really don't know why it gets worse when you turn the wheel all the way to the right... When you lauch or shift second hard does you car have a lot of wheel hop?? This could be caused by weak mounts... I would recommend Prothane motor mount inserts if it is really just the weak mounts. If you don't want as much vibration then Energy's would be more of what you want.. The Prothanes are very still and will cause you car to vibrate a lot more than stock but they really do keep you motor a lot stiffer.. The best combination to fight wheel hop if you have that would be those first then a traction bar.. Hope this helps..

As the speed of the car increses the shaking gets worse. What appears to be the problem is that the cam belt side top mount is not quite in line (about half an inch too much forward) which is in turn puuting pressure on the drive shafts causing a vibration through the whole car, could the fact its not lining up be due me using the D series mount instead of the b series mount or are they identical?

What axles are you using.... When i dropped my friend Mike's (jmd88crx) B16A into his CRX we had problem with the axle... I realize your motor is in a 94 Coupe but it has all the same symptoms that we had... It is a really harsh vibration that increases as you pick up speed, once you get going fast it is almost just hum... Our problem was we were using the SiR half shaft along with 90-93 Integra Axles which ended up being to long. try this.. jack up your car, take the wheel off the side that seems to vibrate, turn the rotor by hand to see if it tries to move up and down... This is what my friend's would do... Keep us posted
