Default RPM Gauge Question

Hello everyone,

Let me first start saying that is with great honor that I am now an Honda owner, and decided to join all of you on this great forum.

This is a small question for you, about the RPM gauge on the EK models.
The first line right above 0 RPM means it's 500 RPM or 100 RPM?

Thank you very much.

Yes... 500 RPM. It is shocking to me how many people do not know this, and even more shocking that some still don't understand how this can be even after it has been explained to them. Sheeesh.

Thanks, I got it on the first answer. Fortunately, I usually understand it at the first try.

Please don't take other people answering as insulting or get defensive.

1st it's confirms the accuracy of the first answer by matching.
2nd it gives other people an avenue to vent a little on the naivety of some of the users here, doesn't mean it's directed at you, for one thing, no explanation was required and you didn't ask for further clarification.

So please, just enjoy the irony for what it's worth. It obviously doesn't apply to you.

I am not sure why you got defensive about my response... I wasn't suggesting that YOU fit my description at all. If you search how often people on here describe incorrect tach values below 1000 RPM, and in many cases, even after being educated/corrected, continue to incorrectly identify these markings/gradations on the tach face itself. Also, the fact that they make an incorrect assumption in the first place instead of ASKING the question that you did separates you from those that I referenced above. I meant no disrespect.

Welcome to the board.
