98 CX plug into 00 si ecu?
Sorry, but NO.. the 96-98 Civic's run OBD2a using plugs A,C,D in the ECU... 99-00 Civic's run OBD2b and use the plugs A,B,C.... You could get away with this if you had a harness convertor but it won't work straight over.. Laterz
**** so if i get a full 2000 b16 swap what should i do, get a obd2 ecu outta a 96-98 gsr....... but what a bout all the extra sensors a gsr has?:
Actually the 96-98 GSR P72 would work on that motor and you wouldn't throw any codes. The only extra sensor the P72 has is the Secondary intake air bypass and it doesn't have a check code. The best thing I would recommend is buying an OBDII to OBDI harness and run an OBDI ECU - chipped P28, P72, etc.
My friend is running a Skunk 2 programmed OBDI P72 in his car - 96 CX with 00 B16A2, no check engine lights and it runs really strong.

Don't use the GSR ecu with a B16a swap. It will bog below 4400 rpms and suck.
GSR has a dual stage manifold.
All other B swaps have a single stage manifold.
Just do like the rest have suggested and either get an OBDIIa to OBDIIb jumper harness or even better an OBDIIa to OBDI jumper harness and a chipped OBDI ecu.
