Weird RSX problem, won’t go over 1500 when floored
So I bought someone’s failing project (bad idea) and have no contact with previous owner.
it's an 02 rsx with a crv block and type s head. It has an aem wideband and running hondata kpro v4.
So the car was running fine minus the vtec solenoid being bad and then the fuel pump went out.
Changed the fuel pump and found someone had turned the fuel up insanely in hondata to compensate for the pump hardly working. Once I turned that all down, put new plugs, and a new crank positioning sensor in.
Now the car will not start unless you floor the gas while turning the key, once it starts it won't Rev over 1500 just bounces from 1400-1500 and dies the second you let off the gas.
It's the weirdest thing because the wideband is reading 11 and the ecu is kicking code p1166 for a/f o2 sensor. I replaced the wideband sensor and it didn't change what was happening.
I've never seen a car do something like this, and everyone I talk to just throws around ideas of vacuum leaks or map sensor jumping timing all sorts of things that don't add up. Mainly because the car ran fine, and one I replaced the fuel pump it doesn't run at all.
Has anyone seen something like this happen before? I'm pulling my hair out.

It sounds timing related to me. If the throttle is opening all the way and it doesn't rev to the moon then something is stopping it. A log would help for this one so you can see what ignition is doing. Can't be a fuel problem if it's at 11:1. Also make sure throttle is opening all the way.
