Default OBD1 Harness Won’t Fit D15B Dizzy?

So I picked up an obd1 d15b distributer for my vitara build and I’m using my stock d15b7 harness. For some reason the plug on the dizzy side has small little plastic tabs that seem to be stopping it from plugging in. Any idea why it doesn’t work? I figured it was compatible. Thanks!

You still have the pin cover that is normally found inside the female plug (the one in your left hand in the pic above) trapped in the new dizzy plug. Grab that plastic piece with a pair of pliers and pull it out of the dizzy plug by one of those plastic tabs you mentioned, then it will plug into your engine harness just fine.
