hose leading out of fast idle valve
Hi y'all,
Sorry in advance for being such a newb! My Honda is a 93 Accord SE and I'm trying to figure out how to replace a hose that burst. It is the longer (of the two) hoses leading out of the bottom of the fast idle valve. I noticed my car was idling weird today and then saw the smoke and smelled sweet coolant burning on the engine so I pulled over and saw where the hose was spraying coolant. I can see the crack in the hose and I'm hoping to replace it myself to save money but i'm very new to DIY car repair and I can't seem to see where it ends up! It looks like it goes back into the engine somewhere underneath the fuel rail and intake manifold, generally. Tomorrow I will try jacking it up and looking underneath to see if I can find the end of the hose but I was thinking someone here might have some advice? Anyone ever have one of those hoses fail on them? Do you have to remove a bunch of stuff to replace it? Thanks everyone! First post so let me know if I'm leaving out info or if this has been addressed already elsewhere on here.

I would also recommend all coolant hoses be replaced at the same time after having one burst. they all tend to degrade at a similar rate so if one has failed it's reasonable to assume the rest will do the same soon.
You may be able to replace all of them in a bundle. There are some aftermarket silicone ones which seem pretty complete, though maybe a little pricey.
but normally I drain when replacing a hose. good chance to get fresh coolant in the system.
