Default Harmonic balancer in 2 pieces

Hi,

I was replacing a timing belt on my honda accord 2006 ex v6. When I removed the harmonic balancer, it came out as two pieces. One is the pulley and another piece with a rubbery coat. Is this normal or is it time to also replace this part?

It is time to replace that harmonic damper. Elastomer band and outer ring aid in removing harmful harmonics that can damage the engine and cause valvetrain issues.

Get a new one from Honda.
