GT28RS on factory stock B18B? 300whp?
So I got conflicting results searching for this answer. Given the restrictive nature of the B18B, will a GT28RS make 300whp on 93 octane safely without changing cams, intake, or anything like that? Manifold will be a tubular log.
‘would need to add 200 more hp from stock which IMO would be about the top of that turbo and that motor as well
No. 300whp wouldn't be really possible on that fuel with that engine. The maximum that GT28RS could make is 320whp even with higher octane fuel, and better flowing head than what's used on the B18B
You are pushing the turbo to its limits but I think its doable (I did it lol). Of course all dynos are different blah blah
The short answer is yes, I'm still attempting to do this. Only this time I'm committed to it. Almost sold the car but the deciding factor is even though it's a nice car, it's still a 1998 Integra which will bring what...$2,000-3,000-4,000? It's fun to drive, great on gas, and reliable as crap. And it cost me a whopping $40 a month to own. So in short it isn't even worth me selling it. So I'm now looking into repainting it, wheels, and going to turbo it. I liked the idea of the GT2860R for a fast responsive turbo but I really don't want to have to redo this later and sell the turbo and buy a new one. SO...Going to go GT3076R and then immediately start building a motor for 400whp on 93 octane hopefully. Then I will just drive the car until the wheels fall off. It currently has 95k miles on it and I got it back in 2014 with 62k miles. It's a great car other than in June-Aug when having no AC sucks.
Man...I knew you'd be around to give me ****. LOL
