Default 2000 accord 4cyl V-Tech Solenoid issues

So I’ve been having issues with my vtech I can’t seem to fix this p1259 code that keeps popping back up. The motor had 212,000 miles on it one night I was driving and I got the p1259 code (vtech malfunction) I checked my oil level and it was very low so topped it off (I’ve researched that low oil pressure would cause vtech to malfunction) anyways I drove down the road soon as I began to go over 60 mph the same code came back up I went to my mechanic he checked it out he said ECU went bad, I had it replaced got the car back started driving it and the same day I got the car back the code came back on. I took the car back he than said engine not holding oil pressure car needs new motor, I purchased a new motor (apparently motor is from Japan and has less than 100k miles on it) now after a month of driving with the new motor I didn’t get a p1259 code... I’m driving to work and this same code (p1259) comes on again on the new motor I check the oil and it’s low so I top off the oil drive down the road and I get up to 60mph and the p1259 code comes back on. I’m so frustrated with this car I really do need some ideas on what’s causing this if someone can please give some insight (forgot to mention when I had the 200k motor I did replace my entire vtech solenoid with a new Honda OEM solenoid and still got the p1259 code) please help

Was the pressure switch checked?
Was the wire harness checked?
What was the oil pressure of your 'old' engine?

Your mechanic seems like a bit of a hack. The initial diagnostics is to check the wire harness itself, if it is damaged then P1259 will be tripped.

The engine may be sludged from sitting. Remove the vtec solenoid and inspect the filter screen.

You will need to follow through the diagnostics to verify what component or if the harness has an issue.
If there is a harness, ground, or connection issue, everything could be new and it would still pop the code if there is a connection issue.
What year/engine do you have?
