Default Help a tall guy out....

Hey I just got a 5th gen prelude. Now I’m 6’6 and I forgot how small the interior is on these cars. What can I d to give myself some more headroom. I’m willing to buy aftermarket seats if that will help with head room.

wrong car choice

probably cannot get lower seats than originals, take the seats off and try to modify seat rails or take em completely off leaving the seat to your driving position, downside is then that nobody else cannot drive the car anymore...

You'll definitely want to get aftermarket seats. I'm a tall guy as well at 6'4". You'll want to find which seats fit you best (a whole different topic), but to pair with the seats, you want to get a pair of good sliders, and a seat base. For the sliders, there are a few options....Sparco, Recaro, etc. For the brackets, I personally like Planted Technology bases. Made in USA, and high quality craftsmanship. The Planted bases sit nice and low too. I have Recaro seats from a Euro R Accord, and with the bases, sliders, and seat, it sits close to 2in lower than the OEM seats. It also slides back about an extra inch for more legroom.

Similar issue in my CD5 Accord. I am 6'5". Running planted bracket w/ Sparco slider, Sparco hardware and Sparco R100 seat. Was good for a few inches of headroom and much better lateral support. Definitely a better driving position over stock.

Except Sparco r100s are horrible seats.

I don't have any complaints about them. They fit me fine. Comfortable too. Going on 5 years and no signs of wear either.

I think you're going to be just as uncomfortable with the seats people are recommending. Might be a waste of time and money. You've picked a car for gremlins my friend.

a little pessimistic response there lol. I love the prelude and I fit ok in it but wouldn’t mind some more room. I have a few ideas on how to achieve what I’m looking for

For seats, the best thing you can do is sit in as many as you can.....leading up to buying seats, I asked a bunch of my friends to sit in their seats, to try them out. Found a local shop that used bucket seats in the waiting room (great way to advertise), and at that shop I found Recaro Sport seats, which I loved the feel of. Went home and did some searching, and discovered that Euro R Recaros as basically the Sport Model, in different fabric. Found a set of those locally for a good price, and snagged em. Totally worth it.
