1999 honda accord 3.0 vtec no spark
1999 honda accord 3.0 motor swap. So I'm not getting any spark on this motor. It cranks and I'm getting fuel. I didnt know if my ecm or PCm would not be responding since it went from distributor cap and rotor to coil packs. Same motor j30a1 only difference was the coil packs
Not just the coil packs.
PCM is different, 98-99 let the ICM/distributor command the firing, 00-02 PCM directly commands the firing of the individual coils.

the motor I purchased came with the wiring harness and everything plugged in as it should've
I am not completely familiar with the V6 harness.
Hondas usually have an engine harness, which stays with the engine('injector harness'), and a PCM to engine bay harness that plugs in to the car, the PCM and the engine harness.
That harness may not have all the wiring for your COP grounds. The connectors will most likely be similar, it may plug in, but are all the wires present?
I would be surprised if the 98/99 harness had six additional unused wires installed. Manufactures will nickel and dime a vehicle for the smallest of items.
