So I’ve had my car for a year and a half and it’s been back to the dealership almost every month. It’s always something! My warranty has covered everything but today when the car unlocked the gas door started making a loud buzz on lock/unlock. I’m afraid warranty won’t cover this.

 

My 2018 Accord Sport just started making what sounds like the same noise you are experiencing (a grinding noise when the vehicle is locked/unlocked). Were you able to figure out what the issue was?

 

Op, would you buy a Honda again after this? The new accords have so many teething issues mostly plastic crap or the 10 speed. Last gen I had no issues.

 

The fuel lid door actuator is faulty. Pretty common on the civics too
