Honda CR-V hard start after warming up??? Please help!!!
right so this is kind of complicated.
My wife drives a Honda CRV on her mail route. Once the car warms up for about 2 hours.
You turn it off and it will restart immediately. But if you wait 10 to 15 maybe even 20 minutes it won't start.
It it will turn over but does nothing. so when you pull the plugs out they are wet. But they do not smell like fuel. if you dry the plugs off it will restart immediately. The car is not losing any coolant and does not misfire at all during the day. like I stated before it's driven a hundred miles a day stop and go.
It did find the first week and then this problem started on the second week.
I just recently put a new head gasket on and adjusted the valves before this problem started
I have since done the following to try and fix the problem.
1 -I replaced the main fuel pump relay with a used one still doing the same thing.
2- installed a new coolant temp sensor. (Faulty sensor would dump to much fuel on warm restart)
3- Put a used coil in the distributor. (Thought the spark might have been a lil weak).
I I am pretty mechanically inclined but this one has me boggled. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I have a 2001 CRV, 239k miles, that will crank only if I put gas pedal all the way down to floor. It won't start otherwise. It will warm up for 3-4 minutes at 1500 RPMs and when it goes down below 900ish RPM it immediately stalls / dies. It will restart and run for maybe 1 minute and repeat. Has anyone noticed the throttle / gas pedal situation with theirs starting?
